The concrete box girder of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge of the core project of Greater Bay Area has been prefabricated

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge runs across Pearl River and is a world-class large-scale project integrating "bridges, islands, tunnels and underwater connectivity". The total length of the project is about 24 kilometers,of which the bridges are about 17 kilometers long. There are Lingdingyang Bridge, which is a suspension bridge with a main span of 1666 meters; Zhongshan Bridge,which is a cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 580 meters; and several approach bridges.

The maximum weight of the 60m wide beam reaches 3180 tons

With the completion of the 155th 60m concrete box girder prefabrication, the concrete box girder of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge of the core project of Greater Bay Area has been completely prefabricated.

 

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge runs across Pearl River and is a world-class large-scale project integrating "bridges, islands, tunnels and underwater connectivity". The total length of the project is about 24 kilometers,of which the bridges are about 17 kilometers long. The 60m wide concrete box girder cast this time is of standard beam width and weighs 2800 tons after casting. However, the maximum weight of the 60m wide beam that has been cast before is 3180 tons, and the top area of the beam is equivalent to four standard basketball courts, which can be called the "the biggest beam king of the world".

 

China Railway Major Bridge Engineer Group Co., Ltd. (MBEC) has built a smart beam factory by applying technologies such as "Internet+", BIM and informatization to realize automation of formwork, reinforcement parts and intelligent concrete production.

Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge Project is a world-class cluster project of bridges, islands, tunnels and underground interchanges. After the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge is opened to traffic, the time from Shenzhen to Zhongshan will be reduced from 2 hours to 30 minutes, which is of great significance for promoting the connectivity and accelerating the integration and development of the Bay Area urban agglomeration.
