On August 18, Wu Wengui, Executive Chairman of China Concrete and Cement-based Products Association (CCPA), Qi Guanghua, Secretary General of CCPA Chemical Admixture and Application Branch, and Yuan Lan, Director of Credit Evaluation Department came to the headquarter of Sika (China) Ltd. (Sika China) in Suzhou Industrial Park of Jiangsu Province. Mr. Zhang Yejiong, President of Sika China, Li Jian, Vice President of Sika China and Head of Concrete Market, Guo Jingqiang, Director of Concrete Technical Service, and Yang Linyue, Senior R&D Manager warmly welcomed the visiting group and had a meeting together.

Li Jian firstly introduced the basic situation of Sika China. Sika China is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sika Group in China. Over the years, it has been growing continuously, with nearly 40 sales offices and 28 production plants in China. In 2022, Sika China reached sales of nearly 9.656 billion RMB. Li Jian highlighted the five core technologies owned by Sika China, including concrete system, cement-based system, coating system, thermoplastic material system, and adhesive system, which will be widely used in the eight target markets of waterproofing, roofing, flooring and coating, repairing and reinforcing, sealing and bonding. Especially in the field of concrete, “Sika green low-carbon building materials full life cycle program" is proposed, taking cement production, concrete application and concrete recycling as the main three stages of realizing the carbon footprint and carbon neutrality of the concrete full life cycle. This gives different solutions and brings innovative changes to achieve carbon emission reduction.

Zhang Yejiong pointed out that the year of 2023 is the 30th anniversary of Sika's entry into the Chinese mainland market, and the company has achieved localized development. Especially in the admixture industry, Sika China is the only foreign enterprise in the Chinese market; it is expected to flourish and make greater breakthroughs in the next 10 or even 30 years. Zhang also introduced the Asia-Pacific Technology Innovation Center under construction of Sika China.

Yuan Lan introduced the basic work of CCPA and explained the work of the association in industrial policy research, standard compilation, international cooperation and exchange, industry credit evaluation, industry publicity and promotion. Qi Guanghua focused on introducing the work of CCPA Chemical Admixture and Application Branch. In terms of providing good services for member enterprises, the branch has carried out standard compilation, formed annual development report of the industry, and organized activities such as Admixture Application Technology Innovation and Development Forum and Admixture Application Technology Competition.

Wu Wengui pointed out that the 35 branches of the association according to the subdivision and technological innovation points, such as CCPA Precast Concrete Component Branch, CCPA Waterproofing and Repair Materials and Engineering Technology Branch, CCPA Wind Power Hybrid Tower Branch, etc., can have a deeper connection with Sika China in the field of engineering. Sika China can also cooperate deeply in the international exchanges and cooperation organized by the association, and in the “Belt and Road Initiative" activities, and make more friends through the association to create business opportunities and expand its business.

Zhang Yejiong said that Sika China will participate in the activities of the association as always, hoping to meet and learn from more enterprises on the platform built by the association and establish good connections with the enterprises in the upstream and downstream industrial chain with common values.
