On April 20, 2023, CCPA and CBMF jointly approved and issued CCPA standard Design Specification of Green Plant for Manufacturing Lightweight Aggregates with Wastes, which shall be implemented from August 20, 2023.

Design Specification of Green Plant for Manufacturing Lightweight Aggregates with Wastes specifies establishes the basic regulations, process equipment, production control and product design requirements, infrastructure, pollution control, resource and energy utilization, environmental protection, and occupational safety and health for the construction, renovation, and expansion of a green plant for manufacturing lightweight aggregate with solid wastes. This standard is applicable to the design of green plants for manufacturing lightweight aggregate with solid wastes.

The release and implementation of this standard will accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of China's lightweight aggregate industry, and have positive significance in leading the high-quality development of the lightweight aggregate industry.
