On December 29, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China approved the release of 1276 sector standards in Announcement No. 38 of 2023. Among them, the Building Materials sector standard Process Technology Code of Practice for Cement Products- Part 1: Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Sewer Pipes (JC/T 2126.1-2023) revised by CCPA, will be implemented from July 1, 2024.

The standard specifies the production process flow, production process requirements, and quality control of concrete and reinforced concrete sewer pipes, which are applicable to concrete and reinforced concrete sewer pipes manufactured using core mold vibration, radial extrusion, centrifugation, suspension roller, and vertical vibration pipe forming processes.

During the revision process of the standard, a thorough investigation was conducted on the current production process and engineering application status of sewer pipe production enterprises in China. Combined with experimental verification of technical parameters for sewer pipe production, and taking into account the trend and requirements of high-quality development in the concrete sewer pipe industry. Compared with JC/T 2126.1-2012, the focus has been on supplementing, adjusting, and improving some technical requirements for raw material quality control, concrete preparation, and pipe forming. After the implementation of the new standards, it will play a positive role in promoting enterprises to strengthen technical management and improve product quality.
