With the successful pouring of the first batch of flowable stabilized soil, a new environmentally friendly material developed by China Construction Western Construction Group No.1 Co., Ltd. has been applied in practice.

Recently, the Xilin Community Project in Qinglong Subdistrict, Chenghua District, Chengdu—undertaken by the China Construction Western Construction Group No.1 Co., Ltd.—welcomed a special kind of “foundation.” With the successful pouring of the first batch of flowable stabilized soil, a new environmentally friendly material developed by the company has been applied in practice. This milestone marks a significant technical breakthrough in the field of eco-friendly and low-carbon building materials, injecting new momentum into the green transformation of the construction industry.

Innovation Breakthrough: Construction Waste “Flows Back to Life”

Though it may appear to be ordinary concrete, this material contains hidden ingenuity. Known as flowable stabilized soil, it is a new type of green building material made by scientifically proportioning and transforming construction waste soil. With proper mix design, it turns traditional engineering waste into a pumpable and sustainable product. Its compressive strength can be customized based on project needs, and it is widely applicable in road subgrade, foundation pit backfill, and other construction scenarios. The promotion and use of this product will significantly reduce the cost of construction waste disposal, lessen dependence on sand and gravel from the source, and serve as a key product supporting the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals in the building materials industry.


Smart Manufacturing: Decoding the “Soil Formula”

Before designing the mix for flowable stabilized soil, the type and characteristics of the soil must be analyzed to determine the optimal dosage of curing agents and the water-to-solid ratio. Due to the wide variation in soil types, there are considerable differences in mix design requirements. As the core technical support team, the Wuhou Pre Mixed Plant and Shuangliu Pre Mixed Plant of China Construction Western Construction Group No.1 Co., Ltd. conducted multiple rounds of site investigations and mix tests. They established a comprehensive soil composition database and pioneered a “dual-soil mixed-admixture technique” that successfully addressed the challenge of shrinkage coefficient variation across soil types, achieving both quality assurance and cost efficiency.

Integrated Coordination: Empowering Market Expansion

Focusing on product deployment and business transformation, the Wuhou Plant and Shuangliu Plant and Xiangtou Plant of China Construction Western Construction Group No.1 Co., Ltd. jointly developed a “technology + intelligent manufacturing + service” integrated marketing model:


  • Market Breakthrough: Xiangtou Plant formed a dedicated team for strategic emerging products and adopted a “three-step” strategy to penetrate the market—dynamically tracking demands of ongoing projects, tailoring one-on-one cost optimization plans, and promoting a full range of innovative products as a package. This approach successfully integrated flowable stabilized soil into the green construction system of the Xilin Community project.

  • Technological Upgrades: To address potential feeding issues related to the “dual-soil mixed admixture technique,” Wuhou Plant and Shuangliu Plant innovatively modified the feed bins and added dedicated conveyor belts, boosting production efficiency of a single 120-type production line from the initial 50 m³/h to 80 m³/h—meeting the continuous construction needs of the project.

  • Service Support: During pouring, a youth task force was formed by the Wuhou Plant and Shuangliu Plant to provide on-site technical services. They quickly resolved unexpected issues such as equipment debugging and process coordination, ensuring efficient operation across all stages of production and delivery.


Currently, the supply of flowable stabilized soil for this project has entered an orderly production phase.
