On September 26, 2024, the China Concrete and Cement-based Products Association organized a scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting on the development and industrial application of key technologies for fully automated production of electric poles. This project was completed by Guangxi Beihai Jingyi Power Equipment Co., Ltd., Guizhou Jingyi Power Line Equipment Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Zhongjiu Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd.
I. Project Background
The electric pole industry is an important support for power and communication infrastructure. The traditional production mode has problems such as high energy consumption, high pollution, low efficiency, and unstable quality. At the same time, global economic integration, accelerated urbanization, and the development of new energy and 5G communication technology have led to sustained growth in demand for the electric pole market. It’s urgent to carry out intelligent production projects in the electric pole industry.
This project has created a fully automated electric pole line, which significantly reduces production costs, reduces labor input, improves production efficiency and product qualification rate, realizes the resource utilization of residual slurry, further enhances product production efficiency and quality stability, reduces resource consumption and pollution emissions, and promotes sustainable development.
II. Research Contents
1. Automated production process equipment and systems
Automated production process equipment and systems include: steel cage forming system, steel mold clamping and demolding system, tensioning system, steel mold circulation system, inclined feeding system, centrifugal system, curing system, demolding system, steel mold pretreatment system, and pole inspection system.

2. SCADA central control system for production line
According to the functional requirements of the electric pole production automation workshop, the SCADA central control system design is divided into two modules: function control and process control. According to the analysis of systems, the central control system is divided into three layers in structure, and the interconnection of devices, sensors, and systems is achieved through IoT technology, providing intelligent, remote control, and management services.

3.5G Smart Factory Construction
The MES manufacturing execution system in 5G smart factories has functions such as production plan management, real-time monitoring and data collection analysis, and automation equipment control. Through innovative technologies such as the Internet of Things and RFID tag automatic sensing registration, the problem of heavy reliance on manual labor in traditional production equipment has been solved, significantly improving production and management efficiency and effectively reducing production costs.
