The event was hosted by the Concrete Electric Pole Branch of the CCPA and organized by the Central Research Institute of Tianshan Materials (Suzhou Concrete and Cement Products Research Institute Co., Ltd.), with support from Yunnan Chuxiong Hengji Pipeline Industry Co., Ltd., J Jiangsu Weijun Industrial Equipment Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Zongheng Technology Co., Ltd. It was co-organized by Yunnan Yongda Electric Power Industry Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Rongdian Electric Power Technology Group Co., Ltd., and the Yunnan Cement Products Association. Participants included business leaders and technical experts from across the concrete electric pole industry and related sectors, guests from universities and research institutions, as well as vice chairpersons, council members, and member representatives of the branch.

Wu Chiqiu, Vice President of the CCPA, Acting Chairman of the 2nd Council of the Concrete Electric Pole Branch, and Chairman of Hubei Changyao New Materials Co., Ltd., delivered the opening speech on behalf of Honorary President Xu Yongmo of the CCPA.

In his address, Xu Yongmo noted that the concrete electric pole industry is now undergoing a critical transition from scale-based expansion to high-quality development. While the operating environment for small and medium-sized private enterprises has improved, the sector still struggles with cut-throat pricing and low profit margins. He called on entrepreneurs to proactively adapt to market changes and pursue win-win collaboration.

Xu emphasized the need to explore the multifunctionality of concrete electric poles—such as integrating monitoring, communications, and photovoltaic systems—while also recognizing their potential value in circular economy and cultural-artistic applications. He advocated for leveraging automation and intelligent technologies to drive diversified industrial development.

Speaking on industry restructuring and optimization, Xu suggested that leading enterprises should explore innovative business models for consolidation and integration. Meanwhile, the association and the branch can support the sector by establishing technical standards and quality management frameworks, conducting evaluations, setting benchmarks, recommending outstanding enterprises to the market, and phasing out outdated capacities to accelerate industry transformation.

These discussions provided deep insights into the direction of technological innovation and management optimization in the concrete electric pole sector.

The conference also featured two parallel sessions:

Ÿ   The 2nd Council Meeting (2nd Session) of the Concrete Electric Pole Branch of the CCPA

Ÿ   The Working Meeting on the Formulation of the Group Standard “Quality Grading and ‘Leader’ Evaluation Requirements for Concrete Electric Poles”
