A review meeting of CCPA standard Code of Practice for Application of Desert Sand Concrete was held by CCPA and CBMF on April 27, 2025. 28 representatives from scientific research and architectural design institutes, industry associations, inspection bodies, laboratories, production enterprises, and users attended the meeting, of which 15 were members of the review committee.

A review meeting of CCPA standard Code of Practice for Application of Desert Sand Concrete was held by CCPA and CBMF on April 27, 2025. 28 representatives from scientific research and architectural design institutes, industry associations, inspection bodies, laboratories, production enterprises, and users attended the meeting, of which 15 were members of the review committee.

 

The main drafter introduced the standard preparation process, the collection of comments, and the test data that support the main technical requirements in the standard. The review committee reviewed all the documents, examined the standard text word by word, and put forward revisions. The review committee made conclusions that the content of this standard is systematic and comprehensive, and the technical indexes are advanced and applicable. Finally, the CCPA standard was approved with unanimous approval.

 

The Code of Practice for Application of Desert Sand Concrete summarizes the experience in the mix proportion design and quality control of desert sand concrete in recent years. The standard divides the particle size distribution zones of desert sand, provides the selection methods for water consumption and sand ratio in the mix proportion design of desert sand concrete, and puts forward key technical requirements for the production and construction quality control of desert sand concrete. The implementation of this standard has expanded the sources and scope of sand used in concrete, leading the concrete industry towards a new stage of green and low-carbon development, and contributing to the realization of China’s Dual Carbon Goals.
