Minister Melad warmly welcomed the CCPA delegation and gave a detailed introduction to the investment opportunities and development prospects for Chinese enterprises in Egypt’s construction and building materials market. He expressed a strong interest in deepening cooperation with CCPA, especially in areas such as on-site visits and exchanges, exhibition and conference collaboration, and the promotion of trade and investment. He also stated that the Economic and Commercial Office of the Egyptian Embassy would actively organize Egyptian companies from the construction and building materials sectors to participate in relevant activities hosted by CCPA, in a joint effort to explore the cooperation potential between Egypt and China in the concrete, cement-based products, and broader building materials industries.

Li Zhiling expressed her sincere appreciation for Minister Melad’s warm reception. She provided a comprehensive overview of CCPA’s organizational structure, the current development of the industry, and its international cooperation achievements. She highlighted the upcoming key events, including the 2025 China Concrete & Cement-Based Products Industry Conference and the 2025 China International Concrete Expo, scheduled for September 5–7 in Guangzhou, as well as the 4th Belt and Road Forum. Ms. Li extended a cordial invitation to Minister Melad and relevant Egyptian experts and entrepreneurs to attend and participate in the events. She also proposed organizing a dedicated matchmaking session and visits to local member enterprises in Guangdong during the conference. Additionally, she introduced CCPA’s plans to organize a delegation to Egypt in November for market exploration and investment cooperation research. Minister Melad expressed strong approval and committed to offering full support for the initiative.

Both parties agreed to take the September industry events in Guangzhou as a starting point to further advance multi-level cooperation and exchanges. They aim to jointly build an efficient and pragmatic win–win platform for enterprises in the concrete and cement-based products industries of both countries, and to help elevate bilateral trade cooperation and coordinated industry development to new heights.
