Founded in 2008 in Beijing Zhongguancun Science Park (Fengtai Park), Beijing Orangestone Hardscape Co., Ltd. (“Orangestone”) is a leading enterprise in ecological artistic concrete design and construction, with multiple branches nationwide and projects across major Chinese cities.

Its ecological and low-carbon advantages were validated by the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences during the Universal Beijing Resort project: compared with natural stone, cast-in-place ecological artistic concrete reduces lifecycle carbon emissions by 33% under the same usage conditions. This achievement was included in the “2022 Business Climate Action Cases” at COP27, proving the company’s leadership in eco-friendly and low-carbon innovation.

Orangestone’s technology has been widely applied across eight major fields: themed cultural tourism, large-scale public facilities, industrial parks, cultural & sports venues, heritage preservation, urban renewal, sponge city infrastructure, and major transportation hubs. Technological Innovation

Orangestone is a pioneer in low-carbon materials for hardscape construction:

• The basis of the low-carbon material technology is cast-in-place artisanal concrete, which is a revolutionary way of building: it integrates structural and surface construction into one process, eliminating secondary layers, saving materials, reducing decoration, and extending lifecycle durability. This innovation replaces non-renewable natural stone, reduces energy consumption, and lowers total lifecycle emissions, outperforming traditional stone cladding systems in carbon reduction and sustainability.

• Its low-carbon artistic concrete was applied in the Beijing Workers’ Stadium Renovation, winning the title “2023 Beijing Advanced Low-Carbon Technology Pilot Project.”

• The company has obtained 86 patents (including 15 invention patents) and actively contributed to drafting low-carbon industry standards.

• Landscape design, Orange Rock follows the design concept of Low Impact Development (LID), gives full play to the advantages of cast-in-place art concrete, and is committed to bringing a personalized and culturally appropriate aesthetic to the project based on the plasticity and designability of the concrete material.

Material & Technology Upgrades: 

• Over four generations of upgrades, Orangestone’s products have evolved from stamped artistic pavements to polymer aggregate-based integrated solutions featuring solid waste utilization, high load-bearing capacity, and permeability. Its high-load permeable technology combines special aggregate gradation and pore structure design to meet heavy-duty requirements of public projects while enabling rainwater infiltration and groundwater recharge. This technology has been successfully applied in projects such as the 2008 Beijing Olympic venues and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, effectively mitigating urban flooding and heat island effects.

Artistic & Cultural Expression: 

• By customizing aggregates, colors, and textures, designers vividly express regional culture and project themes. For example, during the Shanghai Disneyland project, the R&D team tested over 300 aggregate types and blended 30+ colors to create immersive fairytale landscapes.

Exhibition Highlights

At the 7th China Concrete Expo, Orangestone will present a special showcase—ROAD TO ROAD.

This unique exhibit explores the origin of roads, evoking both ancient paths and familiar childhood lanes, sparking collective memory. Remarkably, all showcased road effects are replicated using artistic concrete.

Another highlight will be six project models accompanied by real samples, offering visitors an immersive experience of Orangestone’s integrated design-to-construction achievements.
