On the morning of December 12, 2025, the 2nd Member Representative Congress of the Eco-Concrete Branch of the China Concrete and Cement-based Products Association (CCPA) was successfully held in Nanjing.

Upon the approval of the China Concrete and Cement-based Products Association (CCPA), Zhang Yan, the President of CCPA, concurrently serves as the Chairman of the Eco-Concrete Branch. Ding Jiankang from Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute (Group) Co., Ltd. was appointed as the Executive Vice Chairman.

Li Zhiling presided over the 2nd Member Representative Congress and, on behalf of the First Council, delivered the work report. In her report, she briefed all delegates on the key achievements of the First Council, which, under the leadership of CCPA and with serving national ecological civilization development as its core, adhered to its service mission and focused on advancing seven major areas of work: brand building, improvement of industry standards, promotion of results conversion, development of exhibition and conference platforms, strengthened media outreach, expansion of international cooperation, among others.

The congress reviewed and adopted a series of motions. Subsequently, the Enlarged First Meeting of the Second Council was convened. The meeting was presided over by Ding Jiankang, Executive Vice Chairman of the Branch. The Council examined and adopted the Proposal on Establishing the Expert Committee of the 2nd Council of the CCPA Eco-Concrete Branch, the Working Guidelines for the Expert Committee of the CCPA Eco-Concrete Branch and the Proposal on Appointing the Deputy Secretary-General of the 2nd Council of the CCPA Eco-Concrete Branch, and also reviewed the Branch’s Work Plan for 2026.

To better serve the development of the eco-concrete industry, the Eco-Concrete Branch of CCPA has established the Expert Committee of the 2nd Council. The formation work adopted a combination of individual application and targeted invitation by the Branch. The Secretariat selected and put forward a list of candidates, which was then submitted to the 2nd Council for deliberation and approval.

Upon deliberation, it was resolved to appoint the following members: Zhou Liang from Shanghai Urban Construction Design & Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd. as Chairman of the Expert Committee; Wu Zhigang from Anhui Transportation Planning & Design Institute Co., Ltd., Han Lili from Beijing Academy of Landscape Architecture Science, Dong Biqin from Shenzhen University, and Liu Xiaoyan from Hohai University as Deputy Chairmen of the Expert Committee; Yu Qingliang, Guan Jing, Lyu Jianfu, Yan Xingfei, Li Huawei, Li Xiaoling, Chen Xudong, Hu Zhijuan, Jing Zhenzi, Xu Wennian and Xue Junpeng as Committee Members. Going forward, the Branch will continue to recruit more industry experts to strengthen the Expert Committee in light of work requirements.

On behalf of the Expert Committee of the Second Council, Zhou Liang outlined the key priorities and working approach for the next phase.

The Second Council also reviewed and approved the proposal to appoint Chen Xialu and Zhang Chunlei as Deputy Secretaries General.

During the meeting, delegates held in depth discussions and exchanges and built broad consensus around key topics including the Branch’s 2026 priority work plan, industrial innovation and development, current opportunities and challenges, standardization system development, and deeper integration of industry, academia, research, and application.

The meeting was concluded by Zhang Yan, President of CCPA and Chairman of the Eco-Concrete Branch. He first extended congratulations on the establishment of the 2nd Council of the Eco-Concrete Branch and expressed his gratitude to the leaders and experts of the 1st Council for their hard work and dedication. He then offered clear recommendations and development directions for the work of the 2nd Council from multiple dimensions, including the Branch’s founding mission and positioning, domestic and international development opportunities, standard system development, and technology implementation and results conversion. He further noted that 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of CCPA, and that the China International Concrete Expo will be held in Guangzhou. He expressed the hope that the Eco-Concrete Branch will continue to strongly support initiatives, jointly promoting high quality development of both the Branch and the industry.

During the same period, the 5th Forum on the Development of Ecological Concrete and the results release event of the 4th “Hohai University Cup” Ecological Concrete Innovative Design and Application Competition were also held
