CEO of WCA Philippe Richart Leads Delegation to Visit CCPA

In the afternoon of February 5, Wu Wengui, President of CCPA, and Xu Yongmo, former President of CCPA, met with Philippe Richart, Chief Executive Officer of WCA, and his delegation.

In the afternoon of February 5, Wu Wengui, President of the China Concrete and Cement-based Products Association (CCPA), and Xu Yongmo, former President of CCPA, met with Mr. Philippe Richart, Chief Executive Officer of the World Cement Association (WCA), and his delegation. The two sides held in depth discussions on key issues concerning the development of the cement and concrete industries in China and globally.

At the beginning of the meeting, both sides introduced the development history, core functions, and industry influence of their respective associations. The WCA highlighted its coordinating role in the global cement industry, the layout of its international cooperation network, and its industry service initiatives. The CCPA presented its achievements and practical experience in promoting technological innovation, standardization, and industrial upgrading within China’s sector.


Focusing on the current landscape and future trends of the cement and concrete industries at home and abroad, the two sides conducted lively and thorough exchanges on major opportunities and challenges facing the industry, including green and low carbon transition, standard development, R&D and the wider adoption of new technologies, and collaboration across the upstream and downstream segments of the industrial chain. Both sides agreed to take this exchange as an opportunity to further strengthen communication and coordination and to actively explore multi field and multi-level exchanges and cooperation.


Participants from the WCA included Liu Xiaofeng, Head Representative of the Beijing Representative Office of WCA, and Wang Qiang, Senior Coordination Officer of WCA. Participants from the CCPA included Li Zhiling, Deputy Secretary General and Director of the International Cooperation Center, Shi Haixia, Deputy Secretary General and Secretary General of the Ready Mixed Concrete Branch of CCPA, and Wang Junting, Assistant Director of the International Cooperation Center, all participated in this discussion and exchange.
