In January and February, the total production of large-scale products of the concrete and cement-based product sector increased compared to the same time last year. At the same time, the prime operating revenue and total profit also increased.

1、Main products

In January and February 2019, the total production of main products in large-scale enterprises of concrete and cement-based products sector increased compared to the same time last year, in various areas including ready-mixed concrete, concrete electric poles, precast reinforced concrete piles and prestressed concrete pipes. In particular, the production growth rate of prestressed concrete pipe sector was relatively high, compared to the same time last year.

Note: In order to ensure that the statistic data of 2019 are comparable to that of 2018, productions of each year used to calculate the production growth rate shall be of the same statistic scope, meaning that the individual and total number of enterprises shall be the same. However, number of large-scale enterprises changes constantly in the concrete and cement-based product sector, thus the static scope is actually different every year.

2. Main Economic Indicators

In January and February 2019, there were 10768 large-scale enterprises in the concrete and cement-based product sector. The total prime operating income is 204.329 billion RMB, increased by 22.5% compared with the same time last year. The total profit is 8.241 billion RMB, increased by 21.65% compared with the same time last year.

Note:1. Large-scale enterprise is a corporate unit whose annual prime operating income is higher than 20 million RMB.

2. The growth rate of main economic indicators such as total profit and prime operating income of large scale enterprises shall be calculated based on static data collected in the same scope. Since large-scale enterprises change constantly in the concrete and cement-based product sector, data indicated in this brief is in fact from different static samples, therefore not comparable. It is not of the publisher’s intention to directly calculate the growth rate using given data here.
