Revision Launch meeting of Building Material Industry standard JC/T 2126.1-2012 Process Technology Specification for Cement Products Part I: Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Discharge Pipe was held in Wuhan on March 18, 2021. Over 70 representatives from CCPA, CCPA Concrete Pipe& Box Culvert Branch and other research institutes, concrete pipe producers, equipment manufacturers and etc. attended the meeting.

The representatives of the meeting listened to the report on the preliminary investigation and preparation of the standard. Current situation and existing issues of concrete drainage pipe manufacture in China were fully discussed. The division of tasks and standard drafting progress of each member in the drafting group were clarified. Moreover, opinions and suggestions on key points such as standard scope, manufacturing process, forming methods and quality control were put forward.

JC/T 2126.1-2012 Process Technology Specification for Cement Products Part I: Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Discharge Pipe was issued in December, 2012 and implemented in June 2013. This standard has been an important specification for workers, engineers and technicians involved in concrete drainage pipe production and inspection. However, with the rapid development of China's infrastructure construction, the production equipment and process has been constantly promoted and innovated. At present, all the world's advanced manufacturing technologies of concrete pipe have been localized, with higher automation level and relatively stricter operation requirements, compared to the time when JC/T 2126.1-2012 was development. Therefore, the revision of JC/T 2126.1-2012 is urgent and important. The main revision will be made in supplement and improvement of advanced production process, raw material requirements, steel reinforcement forming, vertical radial extrusion process and core mold vibration process.
