The development of modern buildings poses many challenges to the comprehensive performance and construction technology of concrete. In order to meet the needs of the development of ultra-high-rise buildings, the project systematically studied the preparation, evaluation and construction of ultra-high pumping concrete and formed a scientific and effective construction technology and management system, based on the Tianjin 117 building project. The project has applied for 3 national invention patents, of which 2 have been authorized and 3 have been authorized as the national utility model patent.
The main innovations of the project includes as follows.
I. Engineering Innovation: the one-time pumping height of concrete reaches 621 meters, creating the Guinness world record.
II. Technological innovation: setting up the evaluation system involving raw materials index, proportions of concrete mix and workability.
III. Product innovation: a polycarboxylic water reducer is developed to meet the requirements of a 620 m ultra-high pumping self-compacting concrete and mature application technology is developed. The C30 self-compacting concrete and Vibration-free self-compacting concrete with high compressive strength both could be pumped to 620 meters are developed.
The ultra-high pumping of high strength concrete to 621 meters is the highest pumping height in the world. It is very difficult to realize this pumping process. China West Construction Group have made major technical innovations in the design and performance evaluation of ultra-high pumping concrete, the key technology of ultra-high pumping concrete construction, as well as the production and the construction management system, which can effectively reduce the difficulty of pumping construction and the risk of pipe plugging. The construction efficiency and engineering quality have been improved and good construction effect and environmental protection benefit have been achieved.
