On August 11^th, 2020, China Concrete and Cement-based Products Association organized the scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting for the project entitled as "Flexible automatic production line of segment" which was completed by Qingdao Hicorp Group Heavy Industry Science & Technology (Qingdao Hicorp).

With the rapid development of subway China, the manufacturing of high-efficiency and high-quality production equipment and production lines has become the focus of the industry. Shield segment is one of the most important parts in shield construction of underground tunnel. The traditional production mode of shield segment has low production efficiency and need a large initial cost. In order to further promote the development and application of shield segments, solve the practical problems existing in the production process, form a unique shield segment production technology, Qingdao Hicorp research team has designed and developed "Flexible automatic production line of shield segment" for two kinds of segment chassis sizes 2150mm and 1560mm.

The research team carried out industry research, including the market demand, process demand and production status of shield segments in China, and the relatively advanced segment automation production line abroad. Cooperating with shield segment manufacturers, Qingdao Hicorp research team insisted on going deep into the production site for deep communication, understand the whole process of segment production and the fine requirements in the process, and strive to design a stable, reliable production line from the perspective of customers. The research team determined the overall design scheme, and researched and designed the production process, control system, working line, steam curing line, traction system, transfer system, concrete pouring and vibrating system, curing system and concrete turnover system.

This project has developed full-automatic PLC control system, combined tugboat hydraulic propulsion system, two-dimensional moving carriage set, accurate concrete measurement and automatic feeding system, which has significantly improved the automatic production level. Independent curing kiln is developed, and the PID temperature automatic control system, which realizes the flexible production of segment independent curing. The concrete double position vibration technology is developed to improve the production efficiency. The compatiblity of production line is developed, which expands the application scope of production line products.

The flexible automatic production line of shield segment designed by Qingdao Hicorp is the first production line in China that can replace the mold specifications at a lower cost. This line realizes the semi-automatic production of shield segment, intelligent production management and networked production management information, meets the increasing demand of domestic enterprises for segment quality, and provides technical support for enterprises to realize automatic production and unmanned chemical plant.
