Key technology of a series of high performance precast concrete piles won the first prize of 2020 CCPA Concrete Science and Technology Award (Technology Advancement).

 

Precast concrete piles are the main piles in foundation engineering. In China, almost 400million meters of precast concrete piles are used every year. The following disadvantages are major constraints against the development of precast concrete piles.


lLow bearing capacity

lTraditional piles cannot be used in bank protection engineering

lLow durability especially in complex geological environment and corrosive environment


This project team has developed a series of high-performance, high-strength concrete precast piles and a complete set of technologies. In this project, a complete construction system has formed. The results of this project have been widely used in complex geological and corrosive environment, bank protection engineering, highway, railway, water conservancy, and other engineering.


The main innovations of the project are as follows.

lA mechanical connection joint, which can achieve the equivalent strength and anti-corrosion performance of the joint with the pile body
