On August 8, it, the gravel dam with asphalt concrete core wall project of Tibet Jieba Reservoir, which was built by the Hydropower Basic Bureau lasted nearly three years, was successfully capped, marking a great progress in the construction of the Jieba Reservoir.

The development task of the Jieba Reservoir Project is based on irrigation and water supply, taking into account the ecology and solving the problem of irrigation water source in the downstream 40 km2 of land. After the completion of the Jieba Reservoir, the annual water supply capacity of the Jiangbei Industrial Zone Water Plant (2020) can be increased by 20,000 m3/d,   the problem of insufficient water supply will be solved, and will undertake the task of ecological environment water demand in the downstream of the river.
