Review meeting of CCPA standard Technical Requirements for Durability Evaluation of Precast Concrete was held by CCPA and CBMF on Sep 9th. 24 representatives from research and architectural design institutes, colleges and universities, industry associations, precast concrete producers and users attended the meeting, of which 15 were members of review committee.

The main drafters of the standard introduced the standard preparation process, the collection of comments and the test data that support the main technical content in the standard. The review committee reviewed all the documents, examined the standard text word by word and put forward revisions. The review committee made conclusion that technical content of the standard are advanced and applicable and it reaches the domestic advanced level in general. Finally, the standard was approved by unanimous approval.

 

On the basis of extensive research and basic verification tests, the standard Technical Requirements for Durability Evaluation of Precast Concrete introduces the concept of evaluation unit, and puts forward durability requirements for replaceable and non-replaceable precast concrete elements respectively, so as to ensure the economic rationality of the project and save resources. 

 

The standard combs and extracts a series of key indicators that affect the durability of PC elements in the process of design, selection of materials and accessories, manufacturing and etc. In addition to the compliance evaluation indicators that are principled and suitable for evaluation through data verification, there are also entity evaluation indicators determined through on-site inspection, so as to more truly and comprehensively reflect the durability of PC elements. The standard can standardize the durability evaluation of PC elements, ensure and improve the durability of prefabricated buildings, and contribute to the industrialization of new buildings and the promotion of green buildings.
