Precast concrete refers to building products manufactured by pouring concrete in reusable molds, then curing in a controlled environment, transporting to the construction site and hoisting to the designated position. Prefabricated buildings bring new requirements to the industry

After years of development, China's building industrialization and prefabricated buildings have entered a platform period and a crucial period. Although the popularity of popularizing prefabricated building technology across the country is still increasing, the analysis on the construction of industrialization demonstration bases and the implementation of prefabricated projects, which are fed back from different regions shows growing pains in the process of rapid development.

The application of long-span precast prestressed members in industrial buildings is increasing year by year.

At present, the application of double T, prestressed hollow floors and other members in long-span concrete frame structures and steel structures is attracting more and more attention with a good development momentum. With the increase of market demand, the development and application of various cement-based lightweight functional products are favored, including decorative lightweight concrete products, lightweight concrete wall panel with enclosure and heat preservation functions, lightweight concrete partition wall products, etc., all of which provide development space for the progress of precast concrete products.

Leading companies may become industry promoters

It is understood that the number of precast concrete production enterprises in China is increasing rapidly at present. According to incomplete statistics, there are nearly 200 prefabricated factories added in 2020. Up to now, there have been more than 1,200 prefabricated factories with a scale of over 30,000 cubic meters in China, and more than 2,000 PC factories have been built with the designed PC production capacity reaching 50-60 million cubic meters, which has far exceeded the actual demand of the current PC market by about 22 million cubic meters. However, the overall quality level of precast concrete building components in China is still low, and there is still much room for improvement in appearance quality, manufacturing accuracy and internal quality of precast components, which restricts the popularization and application of precast components.
