The first prefabricated comprehensive building project in Ningde City, the Chengxin Building has completed construction, indicating a big step forward in the innovative development of construction sector in Ningde City. The project stands south to the Nindongzhong Road, and northeast to the Yingfengjiayuan Community. The project was invested by Ningde Urban Construction Group and constructed by Fujiang Ninth Construction Company by prefabrication.

In 2018, Ningde City issued “the suggestions to develop prefabricated building sector” verifying that from 2018, in the construction of newly-built indemnificatory housing, education, healthcare and official buildings priority shall be placed on prefabricated buildings, with the aforementioned buildings be over than 50% in 2019. It is expected that the prefabrication over new buildings ratio will be increased to 8% in 2019, and to 15% in 2020. Mr. Huang Chonglian, the CEO of Ningde Urban Construction Group said, “As a state-owned enterprise, we shall be a leader in promoting the innovations in the building sector. Therefore, we will actively implement the suggestions and make our leading role in promoting the development of prefabricated building sector.”

The total construction area of Chengxin Building is 9861.57 m2, with prefabricated building slabs and the prefabrication ratio to be 15.9%. The project started in July 2018, and was completed in two months thanks to the efficiency of prefabricated buildings. As introduced by Mr. Lin Xixian, the CEO of Fujiang Ninth Construction Company, that the prefabricated buildings have various advantages compared to conventional buildings, such as high efficiency, less vulnerable to natural environment, more flexible construction management, easier qualification and environment-friendliness. At the same time, prefabricated buildings could promote building sector and its informatization and industrialization.
