Review meeting of CCPA standard Technical Specification for Application of Steel Slag Powder in Concrete was held by CCPA and CBMF on October 28th. 26 representatives from research and architectural design institutes, colleges and universities, industry associations, steel slag powder producers, ready-mixed concrete plants and users attended the meeting, of which 15 were members of review committee.

The main drafters of the standard introduced the standard preparation process, the collection of comments and the test data that support the main technical content in the standard. The review committee reviewed all the documents, examined the standard text word by word and put forward revisions. The review committee made conclusion that technical content of the standard is advanced and applicable and it reaches the domestic advanced level in general. Finally, the standard was approved by unanimous approval.

Based on the domestic investigation and basic verification tests, Technical Specification for Application of Steel Slag Powder in Concrete comprehensively summarizes the relevant research results and engineering practice experience of the application of steel slag powder in concrete as a mineral admixture in China in recent years. It provides technical basis for material inspection and acceptance, mix proportion design, preparation, construction and quality inspection of concrete mixed with steel slag powder. The main technical indicators of the standard are set reasonably, which can meet the requirements of engineering construction and has strong operational applicability. The implementation of the standard will promote the application of steel slag powder in concrete and ensure the engineering quality of concrete mixed with steel slag powder.
