The 4th National Teaching Competition for Civil Engineering Material Lecturers and the 8th National Building Material Graduate Student Forum were successfully held in Nanjing

From July 16th to 18th, 2019, the 4th National Teaching Competition for Civil Engineering Material Lecturers and the 8th National Building Material Graduate Student Forum were successfully held at Southeast University in Nanjing.


From July 16th to 18th, 2019, the 4th National Teaching Competition for Civil Engineering Material Lecturers and the 8th National Building Material Graduate Student Forum were successfully held at Southeast University in Nanjing. The event was jointly organized by Education and Human Resources Committee of China Concrete and Cement-based Products Association (CCPA) and the National Collegiate Institute for Building Materials, and sponsored by Southwest University and Jiangsu Province Calcium Silicate Institute.

For the purposes of promoting the teaching quality of young lecturers and establishing a platform for lecturers to communicate in civil engineering field, Education and Human Resource Committee of CCPA determined to host the national teaching competition for young lecturers in the scope of building material. In 2013, 2015 and 2017 three competitions were held respectively, as well as the 5th, 6th and 7th National Building Material Graduate Student Forums.

44 lecturers participated the competition from more than 40 colleges and 46 graduate students joined the forum.



Xu Yongmo, the president of CCPA gave a speech. He said the most important point is to think about how to incite innovation, how to learn from past, and how to teach the difficult by the easy? The lecturers had ample experience of teaching and research works, nowadays more and more young lecturers had learning experience from abroad. He wished that lecturers improve teaching capability by learning from both national and international experiences, comprehending different teaching philosophy, and constantly encouraging innovation.
