The project of “Production and operation management system for commercial concrete manufacturer” by Southern New Material Technology Corporation won the third prize of 2020 CCPA Concrete Science and Technology Award (Technology Innovation).

With the rapid development of the construction industry in recent years, the commercial concrete manufacturing industry is required to transition from rough management to fine management. Information management system could help to improve the internal management and production quality control. Based on the accurate analysis of big data, information from various resources could be integrated and utilized effectively. Commercial concrete industry is stepping into new “internet+” mode.

 

With the aim of “0 stock”, according to the organizational structure of Southern New Material Technology Corporation Group, the information management system is required to cooperate headquarters, regional corporate companies and concrete enterprises.

 

The main innovations of the project are as follows.

Cloud mode

The production and operation management system is consisted of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in cloud mode and individual Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in each concrete batching plant. Based on cloud mode, rapid interaction of data between ERP and MES can reduce the risk of project construction failure, reduce the production cost, and the cost of daily operation and maintenance.

Data bearing mode

Because of the high requirement of ERP carrying capacity, the target tasks of high-speed data processing, rapid response and long-term safe carrying are realized by adopting sub design, separation of hot data, cache technology, distributed technology, asynchronous processing, load balancing and current limiting monitoring.

Data storage mode

According to the characteristics of concrete industry, the centralization and de centralization storage mode is adopted. Each concrete batching plant has an independent database separately, and the ERP establishes a central database.

Data interaction mode

The system realizes the data interaction with material suppliers, industrial control system, weighing system and site order transmission.

The system has been used in all branches and concrete batching plants in the group. The rapid deployment and stable operation of the system reflect the rationality, standardization and flexibility of the system. Through application situation, the following results have been achieved.
