The project of "Green, fireproof, nailable and low density fiber cement board" by Headerboard Building Materials won the third prize of 2020 CCPA Concrete Science and Technology Award (Technology Innovation).
The main components of this green, fireproof, nailable and low density fiber cement board are cement, special specification aggregate, ultra-fine wood fiber and additives, which are made by high temperature and high pressure. The product has the characteristics of environmental protection, fire prevention, waterproof, moisture-proof, high strength and low density. Beyond these characteristics, Headerboard Building Materials research team readjusted the mix proportion and production process, upgraded full-automatic equipment, and developed a board that can not only meet the requirements of fire prevention and environmental protection, but also could be constructed on-site.
The main innovations of the project are as follows.
Fire prevention
Waterproof and moisture-proof
Light weight: the apparent density is within 1.15g/cm3.
High strength: the bending strength reaches 322kgf / cm2 (vertical) and 216kgf / cm2 (horizontal), and the impact strength reaches 25MPa.
High durability: dry shrinkage ≤0.3%, wet expansion ≤0.5%, with frost resistance in -40℃. Corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance.
Green
Heat insulation and energy saving: the thermal conductivity is 0.216w/cm•K.
It can be reprocessed or used twice on site. It can be cut and nailed on site, and could be bent with a diameter of 30cm without obvious loss of physical properties.

Installation on site
The fiber cement board of this project can be directly decorated, or the surface can be treated after physical processing to complete the decoration project. It has the characteristics of convenient construction, environmental protection and energy saving, and could be cut, nailed, glued, pained and brushed before installment. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor decorative foundation board such as rooms, office buildings, hotels, shopping malls, hospitals, airports, subways, libraries, venues, sports fields, museums and factories. The fiber cement board of the project has been applied to the venue of G20 Hangzhou summit.
