By December 2021, the Dashixia Water Conservancy Project has completed a cumulative output value of 660 million RMB, completed rock excavation of 2.85 million cubic meters, and earth excavation of 2.4 million cubic meters.

Dashixia water conservancy project, which is located in Dashi canyon in the middle and lower reaches of Kumarak River in Aksu region, Xinjiang, is one of 172 major water conservation and water supply projects determined by the State Council of China. Dashi Dam under construction is 247m high. After completion, the reservoir capacity will be 1.17 billion cubic meters, the installed capacity of the power station will be 750,000 KW and the annual power generation will be expected to be 1.89 billion kwh. The main tasks of the project are to supply water to the main stream of Tarim River ecologically, taking the functions of irrigation and flood control, and power peak regulation in four prefectures in southern Xinjiang. The project started in November 2019 and is planned to be completed in October 2026.

Dashixia water conservancy project is a key project with a bid of 8.99 billion RMB by China Gezhouba Group Corporation. The highest dam height of 247 meters will break the world record of 233 meters of Shuibuya Dam in Enshi, Hubei Province, which will show that China's water conservancy construction station will reach the international leading level of 250 meters.

Dashixia water conservancy project had been under construction for more than two years. In these days, all the staff has overcome the influence of multiple adverse factors such as strong wind, severe cold, blizzard and covid-19 pandemic, etc., and continue to accelerate the progress of the project. By December 2021, the Dashixia Water Conservancy Project has completed a cumulative output value of 660 million RMB, completed rock excavation of 2.85 million cubic meters, and earth excavation of 2.4 million cubic meters. On New Year's Eve, the project has shifted from dam earth and rock excavation to dam foundation filling, and it is about to enter the peak period of concrete filling.
