The project of “Key technology and industrialization of low sensitive multifunctional superplasticizer” by KZJ New Material Group won the second prize of 2020 CCPA Concrete Science and Technology Award (Technology Innovation).
In recent years, under conditions of the lack of natural aggregates, the complexity of concrete component, the diversification of structure and the severity of service environment, it is more and more difficulty to control of the performance of concrete. The traditional polycarboxylic superplasticizer has been unable to meet the needs of modern concrete.
Through polymer modular design and molecular modification technology, the project prepares low sensitive multifunctional superplasticizer with multi-stage release mechanism. This low sensitive multifunctional superplasticizer solves the sensitivity problems of polycarboxylic superplasticizer in engineering application, and the problems of poor adaptability between superplasticizer and cementitious materials, rapid slump loss over time, poor workability, segregation and other problems to improve the overall quality of concrete in China.
The main innovations of the project are as follows.
lThrough polymer modular design and molecular modification technology, a new conformation of polymer space is created to improve the adaptability of polymer.
lCreate micro crosslinked polymers and a multi-stage release mechanism activated by group alkali, and improve mud resistance and slow-release effect.
lUsing active controllable radical polymerization technology to improve product quality and production efficiency.
The research results of the project have been successfully applied in many construction projects. The products are used to prepare high-performance concrete such as fair-faced concrete, high durability concrete, jacking pumping concrete and ordinary concrete, and have been successfully applied in many commercial concrete plants. The achievements of the project change the single situation of polycarboxylic acid superplasticizer, and promote the development of concrete technology in China.
