The project of “Design and application of automatic circulating concrete brick production line” by Shantou Hongji Concrete Component Company (Hongji) won the second prize of 2020 CCPA Concrete Science and Technology Award (Technology Innovation). In traditional concrete brick industry, the automation of concrete brick production is low, the efficiency is low, the natural maintenance cycle of the product is long, and the investment is large. The Automation innovation of concrete brick production process is the only way for the development of the industry.

There are two PHC pipe pile production lines and supporting stone quarry of Hongji. The centrifugal forming process of pipe pile will produce a large amount of residual slurry in the production process. A large number of poorly graded waste stone sand will be produced in the mining process of the quarry, which becomes the waste of the quarry because of its high mud powder content. In order to solve the above two problems, the comprehensive utilization of pipe pile residual slurry and waste rock sand to make bricks has become an important means to treat production waste. The project carried out the design of full-automatic circulating production line of concrete brick, the development of automatic equipment and control system. The main research are in the following four aspects: circulating production line, automatic steam maintenance control system and maintenance kiln, automatic batching system of pipe pile residual slurry and waste rock sand utilization process.

Full-automatic circulating production line of concrete brick

The main innovations of the project are as follows.

lThe brick production line is fully automatic.

lThe steam maintenance process of thermal power plant are developed, which is discharged from autoclave, and also the automatic control is developed.

lAutomatic batching system of residual slurry of pipe pile is developed.

lHigh quality concrete bricks are produced by residual slurry of pipe pile and tailings waste rock sand.

The first circulating production line of full-automatic concrete brick of Hongji was built in December 2017. Since the production line was put into operation, the concrete brick products have good quality, which have been highly praised by the clients. The production line has the advantages of compact process flow, less land occupation and high production efficiency. The production line of concrete brick reduces labor intensity and labor cost, and has a wide prospect.
