Review meeting of CCPA standard Technical Specification for Ultra-high Performance Concrete Structures Design was held by CCPA and CBMF on January 20, 2022. 46 representatives from research and architectural design institutes, industry associations, production enterprises and users attended the meeting, of which 16 were members of review committee.

The main drafter introduced the standard preparation process, the collection of comments and the test data that support the main technical requirements in the specification. The review committee reviewed all the documents, examined the specification text word by word and put forward revisions. The review committee made conclusions that technical indexes are advanced and applicable and the specification reaches international advanced level in general. Finally, the CCPA standard was approved by unanimous approval.

Based on the investigation, basic verification and test at home and abroad, Technical Specification for Ultra-high Performance Concrete Structures Design defines the general provisions for material strength classification, structural analysis and calculation, the calculation method of structural performance under basic stress limit state and its parameter value, protective layer and other structural details requirements of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC). The calculation parameters of inclined section bearing capacity and the value of equivalent stress coefficient in tensile zone are creatively proposed. The implementation of the specification will guide UHPC structural design and is of great significance to promote the engineering application of UHPC.
