From March 2018 to April 2019, it took Beijing Yugou Group Co., Ltd. (BYPCE) 13 months to complete the in-depth design and prefabricated installation of 6,000 m2 of bleachers of "the National Speed Skating Oval"(also known as the "Ice Ribbon"). The design of arc precast slab made of precast slab not only highlights green, science and thrifty of Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, but also reflects the advanced technology of BYPCE in the field of precast concrete.

“The National Speed Skating Oval” is the landmark in the main competition area of Beijing in the game and the only newly-built ice competition venue. BYPCE mainly undertakes the grandstand board and some related ancillary buildings (such as hanging boards around the passage, etc.), among which the grandstand board is the core of our task. Though its high design and construction requirements and the tight time limit reserved for us, we are deeply honored to be able to participate in such an important national project, but we are also cautious, and strive to deepen the design and prefabrication with the highest standards and the first-class technology in the industry. " Liu Hao, chief engineer of BYPCE reported to journalist.

What's the difference between fair-faced concrete precast technology and ordinary building technology? "There are two main points here, one is precast and the other is fair-faced concrete." Liu Hao introduced that prefabrication is a concept in the field of prefabricated buildings, which is different from the on-site casting process commonly used in traditional building methods. Take the deepening design and manufacture of "Ice Ribbon" bleachers as an example. Based on the professional control of precast concrete process by enterprises, the bleachers are prepared in advance in the factory through several processes, and then transported to the site for installation. With the technical indexes of each bleachers strictly controlled, when all the grandstand boards are assembled together in the site, its overall effect will be in perfect agreement with the design drawings.

In the product display area of BYPCE, the reporter saw the model of "Ice Ribbon" stand board. The milky white fair-faced concrete surface feels level, and the lines are beautiful and smooth, which completely subverts the rough and uneven image of traditional concrete, and can be said that it has its own decorative effect. Moreover, the grandstand board also reserved ventilation holes and Wi-Fi device ports to enhance the audience's watching experience.

Liu Hao said that based on rigorous design and reliable quality assurance, all grandstand boards are maintenance-free facilities, which can serve sustainably without maintenance and will have the same service life as the structure. In addition, Liu Hao also revealed that some of the stone aggregates in the grandstand came from more than 1,000 pile heads chiseled off at the construction site of the national speed skating Oval. After crushing these pile heads, BYPCE reused the stone aggregate in the production of grandstand boards, which realizes the recycling of resources and embodies the concept of green Olympics.　　　

In addition to the stands of the National Speed Skating Oval, BYPCE has also undertaken many key projects in the industry and even at the national level for many years, such as the National Stadium, the most influential and largest number of prefabricated stands in China; the city sub-center project, the most complicated prefabricated fair-faced composite thermal insulation wall panel, which adopts the stone counter-beating and sandwich thermal insulation structure, and the previous Everbright Bank Building, the first precast concrete external wall hanging board project with brick facing in China; Wangfujing Arts and Crafts Building---China's first stone-faced precast concrete wall hanging board project ..... Recently, the first batch of precast concrete stands of Beijing Workers' Stadium reconstruction project were successfully loaded in BYPCE production base, highlighting the industrial chain advantages of BYPCE in the field of assembly integration.
