Review meeting of CCPA standard Technical Specification for Precast Concrete Pipe Piles Used in Bridge Engineering was held by CCPA and CBMF on April 8, 2022. 42 representatives from research and architectural design institutes, industry associations, production enterprises and users attended the meeting, of which 15 were members of review committee. 

The main drafter introduced the standard preparation process, the collection of comments and the test data that support the main technical requirements in the standard. The review committee reviewed all the documents, examined the standard text word by word and put forward revisions. The review committee made conclusions that technical indexes are advanced and applicable and the standard reaches domestic advanced level in general. Finally, the CCPA standard was approved by unanimous approval.

Based on the investigation, basic verification and test at home and abroad, Technical Specification for Precast Concrete Pipe Piles Used in Bridge Engineering summarizes the relevant research results and practical experience of precast concrete pipe pile in Bridge Engineering in China in recent years, specifies the technical requirements for survey, design, construction, inspection and acceptance of precast concrete pipe pile foundation, and has been verified in a series of engineering construction projects. At the same time, the calculation formula for precast concrete pipe pile foundation is proposed, the design method is optimized and improved, and the application range of precast concrete pipe pile in bridge engineering is expanded. The implementation of the specification will be of great significance to promote the application of precast concrete pipe piles in bridge engineering in China.
