On May 5th, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian posted a message about the opening of the Fondiougne bridge in Senegal in his personal Weibo, which received widespread praises. This bridge, built by Wuhan Engineering Co., Ltd of China Railway Seventh Group, a State-owned enterprise in Wuhan, is called the beautiful scenery on the Saloum River. It is understood that Wuhan Bridge Building Capability has made many achievements in the" Belt & Road".

Padma Multipurpose Bridge, Pahang Bridge, Jambatan Sungai Pulai, Luba Cross-sea Bridge, Zemun-Borca Bridge in Serbia …… On 13 May, the reporter learned from a number of state-owned enterprises in Wuhan, Hubei Province, that there are still many important bridge projects to be completed or under construction overseas, and some of them have already been completed and played an important role.

 

Padma Multipurpose Bridge in Bangladesh, which was built by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd., a state-owned enterprise in Wuhan, Hubei Province, is now fully connected with steel beams, and the pavement of the main bridge has been erected. It is expected to be officially opened to traffic in June this year.

Padma Multipurpose Bridge will connect 21 districts in southern Bangladesh with Dhaka, the capital, in the future, so that residents on both sides of Padma River will be free from ferrying.  By then, the southwest will be activated.

 

Luba Cross-sea Bridge, a coastal road in Sarawak, Malaysia, also built by this enterprise, will become the first long bridge in East Malaysia after the completion. The total length of the bridge is 4,844 meters, the main channel bridge is 598.8 meters long and the main span is 324.4 meters.

In addition, Morocco and Tanzania all have "Wuhan- built Bridge" . CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Company Ltd., a central enterprise headquartered in Wuhan, also has many important bridge projects overseas.

 

The China-Maldives Friendship Bridge, which has been open to traffic for several years, is the world's first bridge on a coral reef in Deep Ocean. After opening to traffic, the journey has been shortened from 2 hours to 10 minutes.

 

The Jambatan Sungai Pulai in Johor, Malaysia is located in the southern part of the Malaysian Peninsula, with a total length of 7.5 kilometers. It is a two-way four-lane highway with a main bridge of about 3,000 meters. At present, the main bridge has been closed. According to CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Company Ltd., the completion of the bridge in June this year will greatly shorten the driving distance from Tanjung Bin Development Zone to Port of Tanjung Pelepas, and the transportation time of supplies and materials will be shortened from the original one hour to 10 minutes, which is conducive to promoting the development of Daerah Pontian, Pulau Kukup and surrounding areas in Malaysia.

Malaysia East Coast Railway Pahang Bridge is a railway bridge project, with a total length of 688 kilometers, which adopts China's first-class standard electrified railway for passenger and freight. The Pahang Bridge, which was built with the participation of CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Company Ltd., is located in Tammaru, Pahang, Malaysia. The total length of the bridge is 2.3 kilometers, and it crosses the longest river in the western peninsula of Malaysia, which attracts widespread attention.

 

After the completion of Malaysia East Coast Railway Project, it will greatly promote the development of Malaysia's trade, logistics, import and export, tourism and other industries, and bring convenience to local people's lives.

 

The reporter learned that CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Company Ltd., also participated in the construction of the first "Made in China" bridge in Europe: Zemun-Borca Bridge in Serbia. The design and construction of this bridge were led by Chinese enterprises, and it was regarded as the first business card for Chinese enterprises to show their image to Central and Eastern Europe.
