The largest cooling tower in the world built by Power China Nuclear Engineering Company Limited is under construction. The height of cooling tower is 222 meters. The external diameter of the base is 98.874m and the inner diameter is 89.074m. 960 cast-in-place piles were employed as foundation treatment. The earth excavation volume was approximately 80,000m3, the amount of reinforcement used was approximately 12,000 tons, and the amount of concrete poured was approximately 70,000 cubic meters. The total construction period is about 12 months. The design working life of cooling tower is 50 years. It is currently the largest cooling tower in the world. The project is located at 3.6 kilometers northwest of Luanping County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province.
